I'm super proud of these things. I got a pair of white Converse hi-tops for Christmas with the intent of doing something amazing. I got my chance in my Graphic Design class. We were doing a self-portrait image transfer project. I decided to use my shoes and one of my favorite art styles: rainbow art.
The shoes were sketched out then inked using a black Prismacolor marker. (I tried tech pen, but the lines weren't bold enough.) The shoes were given a day to dry fully, then coloring began with bright colors of Prismacolor marker. I did the watercolor effect on the background with the markers combined with the colorless blender where I wanted it to blend into the white/another color. I finished with a purple lace, woven like a star. I thought the star would compliment the stars all over the shoes, and the Converse star.
I'm still debating over if I want to wear these or not.. I don't want to ruin them, but at the same time I want people to see them.
The sticker looking thing is my self-portrait image. I'm not that happy with it, but it does look cool on the shoes in person.
you should have painted with cloths painting.. Heard its strong enough for shoes too.. Going to make some for my girlfriend Got rely inspired by yours love them*
